Renderings II is the second piece in a series of works where my aim is to explore the possibilities of variation forms through the idea of "rendering".

In Renderings II I have worked with materials from "Glimpsing Through Blue", a trio for flute, violin, and cello that I wrote back in 2013 during the last year of my bachelor studies. I "rendered" the music in different ways, sometimes putting old music in relief with new ideas, "stretching" out textures, developing a single rhythmic motive, or simply recomposing a section.

The piece was written for the St. Petersburg based group Molot Ensemble in a project through nyMusikks komponistgruppe (NMK).
