While composing "Swiveling in a Flexible Unison" I tried to forget that the piece would eventually have to get a final structure, instead focusing on pursuing spontaneous thoughts and ideas that emerged during the process. On a note above my desk I had written down these few words: dead ends, failed attempts, illusions, surprises, and mirages. Coordinates to navigate by.

The work was nominated for the Edvard Price (TONO) in 2022.
